Khao Suppers invites you to our April edition of our Gujarati Brunch Club; Chai Nasto. 

 

When we think of the weekend, a family brunch is one of our fondest moments. Whether it's just us at home or if guests are joining us, the weekend is for preparing fresh gathia and jalebi, making a big pot of chai and sitting and indulging in sweet, savoury, spicy and salty dishes. These very memories form the premise of Chai Nasto - an invitation for you to join us as we share a menu inspired by the flavours of our childhood, but with a much more 'grown-up' palette. Come along to expect the unexpected. 

 

The Menu

Bottomless Masala Chai made with Oat Milk & Spices available throughout the meal.

Good Morning Parcel  

A special delivery of Gujarati nasto to start: Ghatia, Jalebi, Sambaro and Marchu. Savoury, sweet, salty and spicy.

 

Poha Bowl

Flattened rice is cooked in a onion, mustard seed and peanut temper. Served with Yoghurt & coriander oil.

Methi-NO-Thepla Waffles  

Gujarati thepla, but not as you know them. WE take the flavours of Thepla of fenugreek leaves and spices and enhance them with the addition of activated coconut charcoal. Topped with Avocado slices, yoghurt and lasan ni chutney, A garlic & chilli sauce.

Is it Mango SZN Yet?!  

Our take on a sweet khari or puff pastry dish with lashings of kesar mango whipped cream, passion fruit coulis, mango bits & a mint dust.

The Venue

 

We're excited to be partnering with The Bridge, a charity that has been supporting women's health and wellbeing since it was formally set up in 1932. A calming and homely cafe just moments away from Borough Market and London Bridge, this is our frist time across the river!

 

Please Note:  The ticket does not include any alcoholic drinks, but these will be available to purchase on the day from our hosts. Please note, food is prepared in a small kitchen where there is possibility of trace allergens, and so it is not recommended to attend if you have any severe allergies.
