Khao Suppers x Vaarsa London: Masala Class Workshop
Khao Suppers is teaming up with Vaarsa London for Masala Class, an immersive workshop and demonstration that delves into the art and fundamentals of cooking with spices.
Join us on Saturday, 8th February, for an intimate afternoon as Punam, chef and founder of Khao Suppers, collaborates with Urvi, the founder of Vaarsa London, in her warm and inviting home for this special workshop, demonstration, and lunch.
Vaarsa London is a modern Indian home and lifestyle brand offering a curated collection of unique handcrafted and eco friendly homewares inspired by the rich culture and heritage of South Asia.
Back in Autumn 2024, Punam met with Urvi to chat about cooking, cherished kitchen stories from childhood, and tips and tricks for the Khao at Home video series. Their inspiring conversation sparked the idea for a follow-up—what better way to continue the journey than with a hands-on and personal cooking experience?
Urvi has generously opened her home for this occasion, where Punam will guide you through the fundamentals of cooking with spices. You’ll learn to create your own custom spice blend, take part in a live cooking demonstration, and finish the day with a delicious sit-down lunch.
The Masala Class is perfect for anyone looking to build confidence in cooking with spices or add new techniques to their repertoire for creating authentic Indian dishes. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to explore, touch, and experience Vaarsa London’s thoughtfully designed pieces up close—and even shop these beautiful creations from Urvi’s home store.
Please note: This will be an intimate class with only a small group, and so tickets are limited. Guests can book a standard ticket to attend the class plus the lunch, or there is the option to purchase a ticket that includes the beautiful Spice Box from the Vaarsa London Brass Edit collection, offered at a discounted price.

About Vaarsa London
Vaarsa London is a modern home and lifestyle brand that celebrates the timeless beauty of South Asian craftsmanship, bringing it to the heart of London. Born from a desire to create a sense of belonging, founder Urvi Agrawal, sought to make her home a reflection of her roots and a canvas for her story. Realizing she wasn’t alone in this longing, Urvi launched Vaarsa to make beautifully crafted, ethically sourced cultural pieces accessible to all those who seek not only beautiful but also meaning in their living spaces.
Every collection is thoughtfully curated, launched in small batches, and rigorously home-tested before being offered for sale. Each piece has a purpose, a story, and is a tribute to tradition and craftsmanship as the bigger purpose here is to put south asian craftsmanship on the global map and make home decor more meaningful, inclusive and sustainable.
