Khao Nights | September Supper Club in Angel

A series of casual dining evenings, we present Khao Nights. Over two nights this September, we're bringing out a more casual dining experience. Highlighting some of the dishes we have been trying out at home, we present inspiration from our childhood reimagined for an adventurous appetite. 

Join us this September as we take you on a dinner tour of our favourite flavours from Kathiyawad, Southern Gujarat. Expect earthy vegetables and flavours with layers of flavour. The first course will be sharing, with an interesting main course and finishing off with something sweet.

To Start: Sharing Plates

Bateta Vada - A Khao classic, we've not bought these to the menu for a while! Potato fritters made with Potato & beets, spiced and seasoned and deep fried in gram flour.

Tareli Rotli with Sambharo & Methi pickle oil - Crispy wholewheat rotli topped with a lightly stir-fired vegetable and dressed with fenugreek pickle oil.

Slow-cooked Carrots & Cabbage - Carrots & cabbage are marinated in cumin & coriander spices, roasted and served with a sweet and tangy tamarind dressing. 

Main Course

Porbandar style Pav Bhaji - Classic Porbander (a city in Gujarat) style dish made with mashed vegetables slow cooked in tomato gravy. Served with soft white bread rolls covered in butter.

Charred shallots salad with mint dressing - charred shallots & tomatoes served with a yoghurt & mint sauce. 

Dessert

Rose Basundi with chia - Slow-boiled milk seasoned with rose essence and served chilled with chia seeds.

Whilst the menu is vegetarian, we can also cater for a plant-based diet. Please specify this, along with any allergies when placing your order. This event is BYOB and we will be serving a welcome drink.
