About the event

Join Khao Suppers & Tiipoi on Friday 10th November for an evening of gathering, joy and celebration as we gather around the dinner table for Diwali!

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The festival fosters a sense of unity, joy, and hope within communities regardless of religion or creed. It's a time of reflection, gratitude, and the renewal of bonds with loved ones.

Join Punam from Khao Suppers and Spandana from Tiipoi as we welcome you to an evening of togetherness and light, sharing dishes that evoke a sense of home and being with loved ones. The four-course meal is inspired by a traditional vegetarian festive feast, created using seasonal produce on Tiipoi cookware. As an extra gift for the festive season, any ticket purchased will also come with a £10 voucher to spend at tiipoi.com.

About TIIPOI

Founded by Spandana Gopal in 2013, TIIPOI is a a design studio, and producer based in London and Bangalore. Tiipoi presents artisanal ingenuity through a modern lens, via products for the home. The name comes from teapoy – a 3-legged stool that was appropriated across the western world during the reign of the British Raj.

With their range of homewares, decorative objects and textiles, TIIPOI have established rigorous production systems that have been scaled locally and are ethically sustainable. The provenance of material and responsible manufacture is an essential aspect of each design story. We collaborate with crafts clusters across India with a focus on black pottery, metal spinning, wood turning, glass blowing and textile weaving.

Every single one of the products – designed with utility in mind and made for enduring service – speaks of a highly developed and ever-changing modern India.

About Khao Suppers

Born out of the idea to share the dishes we have enjoyed since our childhood but rarely found at an eatery in London, Khao Suppers presents a range of dining experiences. The roots of Khao Suppers lies in the story of its founder, Punam Vaja. A born and raised East Londoner, growing up with strong Gujarati influences is what drives the core of the dishes we serve.

The cooking style at each Khao supper club is a combination of recipes and dishes passed on from Punam's mum and dad. Mum shared the traditional dishes that give that feeling of home, as well as her upbringing in Mumbai adding flavours of street-food yumminess. Dad, on the other hand, shared a much more care-free, exploratory approach, always using his instincts when it came to spice and balance in flavour.

Thus, Khao Suppers was born, infusing the lessons passed on from decades of traditional dishes, served with a new flair and a big smile!
