About the event

Celebrations deserve a royal feast! Join us in congratulating Anisha on 10 years of Anisha Parmar Studio with a very special four course supper club.

We first met Anisha at a event we were both working at back in 2023, and instantly it felt like she was our long lost cousin! Not only are we both from the Kathiawar region of Gujarat, we both have links to Uganda, and so this shared heritage built an immediate familiarity and meant it was only about timing for when we began collaborating together. Khao Suppers is honoured to be supporting APS at 10 for a weekend of pop-ups, workshops and a very special Supper Club.

We're keeping it intimate and warm, with only 20 seats. Expect a jewellery-inspired menu, warm hospitality, and flavours that trace the journeys of our families. Think Ugandan-Gujarati dishes reimagined, East African influences sitting alongside Mumbai street-food flavours, and the comfort of traditional urad and rotla with a playful twist.

MENU

On Arrival: Welcome Drink & Snacks

Just like guests to our home, we will be welcoming all our guests with a special welcome drink on the night.

To Start: Street Food Lovin'

We bring you small parcels of street food goodness from Mumbai & Kampala: Tantalising Corn on the Cob and Lemon and Chilli Mogo (cassava fries).

Second: Adorn Your Chaat

Adornment through the eyes, but now the tastebuds! Guests will be presented with a hasselback potato, cooked in ghee and chaat masala. You're invited to then complete the adornment with a selection of toppings, chutneys and garnishes. This is where you bring your creativity to life!

Main Course: Kathiawar no Rotlo

For the main course, we go all the way back to our Gujarati roots with earthy hearty flavours.

Bajra no Rotlo and Urad.

Millet flour flatbreads cooked slowly with lots of butter on top and Gujarati style black dal.

Accompanied with sharing jira rice for the table.

Kachi Keri

Green, sour mango with Kashmiri red chilli and salt sprinkle.

Raita

Yoghurt raita with radish and pomegranate.

Plus Hot Belly Pickles for the table to share.

Dessert: Maharani Cake

Because a royal celebration deserves only the most royal dessert! Khao signature saffron sponge cake is finished with APS Jali design, lemon frosting and raspberry & cardamom jam centre.

Please note:

  • The menu is fully vegetarian. If you have any dietary requirements, please contact us to check, as we cannot cater for severe allergies due to the preparation of the dishes in a smaller prep kitchen.

  • The venue will be running a bar, but we will be sharing a welcome drink on arrival.

  • This event is suitable for 16 years+

  • There is street-level access in the space and disability access throughout the space so all are welcome.
